New here and don't know where else to turn. In the last couple of days my computer has started acting up. Here's a rundown of what I'm experiencing:

I have both FF and IE and use them both here and there but both are freezing up just a little ways into using them, most of the time. For instance, if I'm using FF and go to Google, and then click on a link in Google it won't pull the page up.
In IE, when pages load (for instance, my homepage, which is Yahoo.com), only part of the graphics come up and sometimes the words on the page are really large.

With the above being said, the main issue is that the pages are freezing up at one point or another.

Also, my Disk Defragmenter won't work (when it has worked fine before). When I open it and try to defrag drive C, it pops up a window that says, "Disk Defragmenter could not open".

Any suggestions at all? I use Windows XP Professional. I have scanned the system w/ my ZoneAlarm and it found a couple viruses and such, which I deleted or quarantined. I restarted to no avail.

Due to lack of information we can't be sure of what the problem is, but I'd recommend running CCleaner on your system. There's a good chance it'll help. :)

I would say the exact same thing I use CCleaner on my desktop and Its great its better than a defrag I think because it doesnt just defrag it cleans and deletes unneeded files and all your temp internet stuff then it will scan and fix your regisry which helps alot
