Help

Ive been trying to network my 2 computers. Ive got them to acknowledge each other but i'll be buggered if I can get any files to share between the two. I've been sharing the files but I keep getting permission errors when I try to see the files on the other computer. Im guessing Ive done something wrong on the network setup side but I'll be buggered if I can see what.....

If anyone's feeling generous and would like to talk me through what Im doing wrong, im on msn......

Read through that and make sure you have done everything correctly and not missed anything. Theres a section in there about permissions too.

I had the same problem....take down any firewalls...that was always my main deterent from it working..

share a folder not a file

I got it.....

it was the Zone Alarm firewall that was stopping any sharing. Finally got it all worked out.
