It's a HP pavillion DV6. I have the screen out already and just need some assistance in ordering the correct replacement screen. Do I need to use model number or what ?? Should I go through HP or get an after market upgraded screen ?? Is there even a way to add an upgraded screen ??
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just take the model number and plug it into eBay. You're better off going with the same screen.
