I have a pretty small harddrive on my computer(50gb) but I always run out of space. I recently went into the disk defragmenter and saw that almost 37 gigs of space was taken up by something unknown. I used CCleaner, and it only cleared around 700mb(with all boxes clicked)
and then I went to add or remove programs, deleted all files I didn't have need for and that only removed one gig. Finally, I went into my program files and deleted all of the stuff I did not need, which freed up almost 5 gigs, but I still have 32 gigs of stuff that I cannot find at all. any help? I am not too sure on my system specs, but I think they go like this:
Dell Inspiron 8400(maybe. not too sure. Came out in 2004)
Windows XP SP2(should I update to sp3?)
Intel Pentium 4 @ 2ghz
50gb harddrive
256mb RAM(poor, I know, but I will be getting another 512mb stick soon)
Not sure on the sound card, soundblaster audio something I think
Nvidia Geforce4 mx420
Yeah, my computer sucks, but it was free. Any help would be appreciated.
I also have another problem with said computer(I am typing this from another one)
No internets. I had(and still do) have a wireless router and a usb adapter for the computer,(netgear rangemax something) and it worked fine for a while, and then it just stopped. It doesn't even register a valid connection anymore, even though the wireless internet still works throughout the house. I have looked everywhere for help, tried resetlog.txt in the run option(and restartlog) disabled my firewall for it, tried to unplug and then plug in, and then disconnect and reconnect. It says I am connected for all of 5 seconds and then loses it, but when I scan it always gives me a 74% signal strength.
