help with my onboard sound??

Hi, i have an Asus A7V8X-X with onboard sound and i just reformatted my pc and i do not have any driver cd for the mobo. all i am missing now is drivers for my sound. i have been looking for days and cannot find any? can someone please help me ?

I think i had a soundmax before

Go here: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us

Select Motherboard as the product, socket A and finally your motherboard model.

Then select drivers and the sound driver is there.

select motherboard > socket A > then scroll down for your motherboard, its there.

then click the driver tab, and boom, your there

Ok well i choose motherboard,socket A and then for the medel it shows me K7M,K7M-RM,K7V,K7V-RM,K7VT?? so which one of those is my mobo???

your picking slotA , you need socket A. look donw a bit more, and you'll see it
its second to bottom.

Ok well as it was installing i got an error."A configuration or hardware problem has occured. Check your hardware and system settings and try again??

well the latest one for xp seems rather large? 18.4 mb
