I have a Dell Dimension 1100 desktop computer that quit working a while back. I figured out it was a processor chip but I haven't been able to get another one til now. The original that was in it was a Intel Pentium 4 socket 478. The one I got from my cousin is an Intel Celeron socket 478. I put it in and tried turning the computer on but nothing will come up on the on the monitor, and none of the 4 LED lights on the back I/O panel will light up. On the front there are 2 lights. One is solid orange and one is solid green. Before the computer quit working they both were green. The light on the motherboard is also solid green which I was told meant the motherboard is still good. The fan still runs and the CD drive still turns on and opens. I can feel the hard drive running as well. I tried different memory sticks and that didn't solve the problem. Any ideas?
