HELP! tips on shooting firework pictures. QUICK PLEASE.

i'm going to see some fireworks tonight and tomorrow night and i was wondering what the best settings would be to get ideal pictures of them. should i have a higher ground to get the whole surrounding area or lower grown to get them in the sky? they're going to be shot off an old traffic bridge over a rivers.

quick responses with some dummied down photography terms would be nice.

It might be too late now but hey!

She has a D60. I don't have much experience with fireworks but what I've used is T mode, and set about 3-4 seconds.

I've read to use Bulb mode, I don't know about aperture though, maybe set it at around 8-11, and hold the shutter release button for the whole duration of the rocket.

Make sure you have a tripod though, that's the most important step in taking firework pics.

Tripod is a must!
