I should really learn how to determine what it is myself, but I can't find a guide, anywhere....

( I guess google is not my friend... )

anyways, i've been in this situation before and I know you can find my sound driver from looking at..

I just don't know how.

Anyways, can someone find my driver that is needed.

Links would also be nice.

I don't like being spoonfed, this is all I will ask.

anyways here is the report thing. It is long, so I have to save it in notepad.

~ forum also looks nice, I am gonna become a regular user, and incase you wanna know, I did the report with everest home edition.

It looks like you have onboard sound, do you know your motherboard model number? You will be able to download the driver from them.

What? What do you mean by that.

I have given people that exact document before, and they have given me sound drivers that have worked.

;s

I mean exactly what I asked, what model number is it? That document tells me you have an ATI xpress 200 board but apparently ATI doesn't provide chipset drivers for boards based on them like nvidia does. For example Asus radeon xpress 200 boards have model numbers like P5RD2-VM.

This is the generic driver, I don't know if it will work or not which is why I'd rather give you a link to something built for your motherboard. http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=24&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Thank you!

I just do not know what driver there is the one I am supposed to download, thanks for the link.

But can you tell me what one i'm supposed to click after?

Pick the one for your operating system, even though there are 2 for each, it's the same file. The only difference is one is zipped the other is not.

Finally got the website to work correctly for me, however the driver still doesn't work.

Download CPU-Z here: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php

After you extract and open it, click on the 'Mainboard' tab at the top and Post the Manufacturer and Model (first two boxes). Perhaps we can give you a direct link to your Board's specific Sound Driver then.

According to the Everest report, you have a Gateway T5082.

Click here. Click downloads for all the original drivers - including the sound driver - for that system.
