help please??!!

hey computer chatters!!!!
I NEED HELP!!!!
i am not a techie and ive got a problem with my iTunes... simple language on the answers please =D ive narrowed it down to be the connection between my iTunes and server as the podcasts cannot sinc and the iTunes store cannot work either. I dont want to do anything that would lose my 17 GBs of music.
The problem started when the computer was shut down when iTunes was up and downloading podcasts. whenever i try to update a podcast it comes up with the symbol and when i open the iTunes store it comes up with a message that says "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The network connection was refused. make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, then try again"
i have tryed reinstalling iTunes, disabling the firewall and looking for connection settings on iTunes as the internet is working perfectly.
any help or advise would be greatly appreciated

yeah i posted something on there the same time as here but no answer.

Little off topic, but might want to think about not posting in bright colors and large fonts...easier to read Try disabling windows firewall if your using a pc.
