Help on deleteing this off my cp please!!!

He is the run down, i downloaded aol 7.0 for my dad, but now he does not want it.

I uninstalled it, and removed it from programs.

Still im left with one problem.

I still have he icon on my desktop and when i go to right click it, it does not give me the option to delete, only choices i get are open and create a shortcut.

upon looking around i found the icon on my computer ( when you click and see the C drive and such)

and there i cant delete.

Does anyone know how to remove this please!!!!!
 
Reboot your computer and hit F8. Select safe mode and after all the text it will boot you into a black screen with grey bar. From there go to the items you want removed and left click once and hit Delete Key.

Safe mode wont allow the programs to run except for important windows services. Lemme know if this works for you.
 
It probably won't. AOL integrates itself too deeply within your system, and most people will tell you to wipe your HD and start over, it's that bad.
