Well does anyone know the specs of a Alienware Aurora 7500 R4
my friend is giving it to me here in like a month. and i just wanna see whats all on it.

most alienwares are customized, so the parts will be different most of the time, but i looked it up on google and it is a fairly dated system, won't do much current gaming, unless he has been updating it over the years, also depends on what gpu he got it with, but it still will be a fairly dated and low power card compared to today's pats

thank ya.
well i mean i still got my computer and it does pretty well for what i got for it.
plays pretty much all new games at least for now.
probably wont be able to play some new new games here so.
considering how old the evga gts 250s are lol
and im sure i can fix it up sooner or later to make it run newer games hopefully

the gfx card will be the main problem, but does he know the cpu and motherboard, those may be a problem for upgrades, along with the windows if you need to replace the mobo, then you will have to get windows to liscence you a transfer, as the os is linked to the motherboard.

it has vista. and i was thinking about just using those parts for like a research computer. till i get some money and then just buy new stuff like mobo gpu cpu etc.
but no i wont find out till he gets his new alienware which i hope is soon! haha

but i think im going to take all my components out and put it in the alienware tower cause right now i have a crappy little midcase :/

also, may wanna tell your friend to look into building his own compared to buying, alienwares are like apple, a good portion of the price is in the name, a similar cyberpower or ibuypowerpc would prob be a much better deal.

Well i know it has no water cooling. and im pretty sure i can switch my stuff over to that case. so i think im good on that part.
and yeah i know. but he likes alienware i know you can buy a better computer rig if you buy the parts yourself and cheaper.

i'd at least suggest looking at ibuypower and cyberpowerpc, basically the same as alienware minus the name mark-up and way more selection
