Help, I have no sound in any browser...

Hey I don't seem to be able to get sound from any brower, and its only browers cause i an listen to music and watch video normally, but when it comes to the internet it doesn't seem to work, Its not just with flash programs, even wmp(when used on the internet), I've tryed reinstalling FF, restarting the computer, reinstalling Flash, disabling sound (from BIOS) and re enabling, tryed re installing sound drivesr, nothings worked ..

I have a similar situation - cannot hear any system sounds like when windows boots up, or the bell when I hook up my ipod, no internet sounds.

I can hear itunes and shockwave games as well as games on CD

are you guys running windows xp or vista?
i believe vista has a separate audio option for the internet browser and such

is that why there is a sound lag when it runs flash application?
