Help Connecting Front Audio Ports

Alright, I'm finishing up my first build right now and I'm not quite sure what to do with the cables attached to my front (actually top, using TT Tsunami) audio cables (headphone and mic). I'm using an Audigy 2 ZS, so I was thinking I was supposed to plug the cables into it, but the ZS only came with a generic quick start guide and says nothing about this or what all of the extra connectors on the card are for. Now, my mobo's manual (MSI K8N Neo4 Plat) has some details about connecting them to the mobo, although it refers to 8 pins and I only have 7 different cables going to the top. So, pretty much, am I supposed to connect these to the sound card itself or does it run through the mobo? If I am supposed to connect them to the sound card, where can I find a diagram or something to tell me which cable goes to which pin?

I think, from the way you are saying things, you are talking about the jumpers... can you confirm this? Also, the case does not have to fill all the jumper connections on the motherboard or the sound card, it depends on the amount of "extras" your case has.

Yeah, I think I'm talking about the jumpers. But what I was asking is do I plug the cables coming from the actual front microphone/headphone jacks into the jumpers on the motherboard, or do these cables get plugged directly into the sound card. I would think I'm supposed to plug them into the sound card because it's actually processing the stuff, and it has the same jacks on the back of the card that I'm trying to connect on the front of my case, but like I said the Audigy's "guide" doesn't say anything about this. If I plug them into the mobo, will it direct the sound signals to/from the sound card?

I'm thinking about saying screw the damn front audio ports because I want to get this baby running! (or atleast see if it will run, I'm a little nervous).

The card is a sound blaster Audigy 2 ZS, and I have found this link (scroll down to the pic of the audigy) that details the pins and all, but mine don't quite coincide, and they also don't fit the Audigy's pins, so I may have to mod them to make it work. Anyways, these are the cables I have going to the front of my case (it's actually the top, it's a TT Tsunami):

1. Ear R (Line out R)
2. Return R (Line in R)
3. Ear L (Line out L)
4. Return L (Line in L)
5. Mic in
6. Mic VCC (Mic PWR)
7. Ground

I'm getting ready to power it up for the first time though, so I think I might just have to do without the top ports for now, as they're more a matter of convenience than necessity.

Ey runbird05 i have the same problem. These is my cables(pins):
GROUND
EAR R
EAR L
Return L
Return R
MIC VCC
MIN IN

And my soundcard is the same as yours...
