help sharing two computers i have verizon fios currently running on my moms desktop downstairs i have just bought a dell xps 410 how would i be able to use the verizon fios on the computer i just bought the xps
 
Congrats on getting FiOS! I too am a FiOS user since I can't get my own OC-3 line into my house :(, but FiOS is as close as I'm going to get :D. Since you have FiOS, you should already have the D-Link VDI-604 or 624 or the Actiontec (Actioncrap) MI-424-WR. All that is required is to run another CAT5e cable (or make it wireless) from the router to the other computer and you're ready to go. DHCP should kick in and assign all that is required to get that other computer online.
 
ight well just got intocuh with verizon the guy and he was an asshole lol he said run wires in your house and then hung up on me lol... i was thinking about going wireless since it would take like 50 wires to get to my desktop from my moms lol....i have a d-link router that verizon gave me should i put in a wireless card in my desktop or a wireless adapater the usb one... and will the connection be the same for both types of connection methods?
