Help asap please , Linksys@home router

Hey, just got a new computer and bought a roater and extra box for new computer to get internet . Got a problem my computer wont hook up to it . Gives me message .

The set up wizard was unable to to locate a home wireless g-router your network .

I have a Motorola modem with telewest cable which is blue yonder . i have plugged the power in to the router and then conected the internet cable in to the router then in to the computer and then a seperate cable in to the ethernet port in back then conected that to the ethernet port on back of the modem . light's are lit up on both the router and modem .

Ok you must do the following.

-Make sure the phone cord from the wall goes to the modem.
-Make sure an ethernet cord goes from the ONLY ethernet port on your modem to the WAN port on the router....(internet)
-Make sure your computer is plugged into slot 1,2,3,4 or 5...

Login to the router //192.168.2.1 (copy Paste that into a router)
If you cant login, go start menu>Run> type CMD> Type IPCONFIG
Is the address listed there a 1 192 or a 168 address? (good) Or is it a 127.0.0.1 or 0.0.0.0 address (bad)..


If you can login, input your account info for your isp, and go play!

What do u meen by fine line ? i have cable broadband there isnt a phone line

Ok well then plug the cable into the cable modem, then modem into the router port...
