Help about sound cards and speakers?

I have a Logitech z2300 2.1 speaker, im planning to buy a sound card. Now the setting would be:

Speakers<--(connected to)-->soundcard

The speaker itself has a dedicated headphone jack, now if i connect my headphones through the headphone jack of the speakers, would my headphones still benefit from my sound card (example if the sound card has a headphone amp or stuff) or should i just connect my phones directly to the sound card? any other suggestions?

I really don't want to keep plugging and unplugging it from behind and my headphone wire is not that long to reach the back of my computer's headphone jack......thanks in advance! :)

You're getting your sound for your headphones from the speakers, which get them from the soundcard. So yes.

It would be better quality, slightly, direct. However, considering all of the other factors, it's your choice, but it sounds like a much better idea just to go with plugging them into the speaker's headphone jack, to save yourself the hassle. In all fairness, if it's a big deal, you can test each one and see if it's worth the difference to unplug one and replug the other.
