I have an Audigy 4, so i have disabled the onboard sound card...

However, the Audigy 4 doesn't have the facility to plug in the headphone and microphone jacks on the front of my case.

I can plug them into the onboard sound card, but not the Audigy4 - but i really want to be able to use them with my Audigy4!

is there some sort of adapter i can use to be able to use the jacks on the front of the case with the audigy4?
 
that is exactly the problem i am having with my audigy 2 zs, i want to listen to a track in traktor dj studio and cue another through my headphones. Hopefully someone can answer this queston.
 
I suspect there is some way to connect the front plugs to the sound card... But being from Creative, it'll probably be near impossible to fine. I suspect you'll about be forced to purchase their addition that uses the 5.25" bay... Maybe if you could find the pinout's and had some spare time, you could make a converter ;)
 
All i really want is to plug headphones into the front of the computer instead of having to reach behind the computer...(which is impossible in my setup)

Is there a 5.25" unit that will work with the Audigy4? i thought that it was a stand alone soundcard... If there is a compatible unit then i will definitely get one of those...

If i can rack up the money then i might upgrade to a soundcard with an included internal drive bay... but that could be a while

do you mean a cable that runs from the back of the computer to somewhere i can reach it?
I have thought of that, but i want to minimise cables... However, it might be a good short term thing to keep me happy...
 
well to minimize cables you can run it back into the computer and to the front drive bay.

i had a USB 2.9 card that has 4 ont he back and 1 internal and my corsair flash drive had a short extender so i just plugged it into the internal one and drilled a hole to fit the end of the extender in and it works fine.


it should interupt airflow at all
