Headphones

I think that for your price range you can get better cans than the ones your looking at.

Check these out: Both are in your price range (converted to dollars) and both are good for extended use (mp3 player). Amazon ships to the UK, but you can probably find them locally as well.

I personally prefer the sony's, but grado makes some good products. Read the reviews.

okay, nothing posted is a good idea yet.

the CHEAPEST and best you can get are the Koss KSC-75s, which would be some of the best portable headphones you could buy.

the sr-80s posted above aren't about idea, although if you're going to spend that much you should get the alessandro ms-1s.

link for ms-1s: www.alessandro-products.com

but the thing about the grados and alessandros is that you may not like their sound signature. what kind of music do you listen to? do you like the sound of your music more laid back? let me know...

also, the grados and alessandros (and any other full size cans for that matter) won't be a very good choice for portable use. not only are they big, but they leak a lot of sound. you could get the ksc75s and ms-1s for about $120. (if you like one you'll like the other... they have similar sound signatures.)

by the way, what mp3 player will you be using?

I have a Creative MuVo TX 512Mb. I usually listen to rock and metal, like Dream Theater, Nightwish, Freak Kitchen, Mattias IA Eklundh and nowadays Frank Zappa.

Well I just ordered the Sony MDR-XD200's. Got 'em 7€ cheaper.

awwwww :( you should have gotten the ksc-75s... not only would they have been perfect for the music you listen to, but they're nicer as well......

It's just that I hate headphones with that kind of design and I couldn't find 'em here where I live.

You wouldnt even be able to turn these headphones up all the way...the bass would blow your eardrums out no lie

*with distortion

and besides, is bass the only important thing in music?

no without any distortion they have a separate sub and amp built in...perfect quality... you guys have no clue because all you do is judge things before you have ever heard them or seen them...you can leave comments but dont think that you know anything about something before you have actually used it... ask anyone that has heard of these and they will tell you that they are the best quality sound you will ever here

I have personally gone through so many pairs of headphones for both stereo and pc that I couldn't find anything to replace Koss yet! I've tried SONY along with Maxells and others where they sounded strictly mid range.

do this:

1) go to www.head-fi.com

2) make an account

3) post exactly what you just posted here in a thread there

then, the replies will take care of things :)

Head-Fi is a good site, I'm not a member myself but it's got good DIY projects and reviews.
