HDX 16 Webcam

Hello All,

I have an HP HDX 16 laptop, 2 years old. My webcam used to work, but didnt try it for awhile, and now It doesnt. I have looked around online and it may have been because I switched from Vista 64-bit to Win7 64-bit. What is happening is with HP MediaSmart, I just get a black screen. No error message, and the LED light even turns on. In skype I get the same thing.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the webcam driver with the one from the HP site. I updated my BIOS. I tried all the HP Helper stuff. Nothing works, and this is really frustrating as I need to videochat to a friend from school and videochat isnt purposeful without video. If anyone has suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Just to make sure, the drivers from HP's website specifically say that they are designed to work with Windows 7?

I actually can no longer find the driver on the HP website. The only webcam things under drivers and software are two webcam using programs. A few months ago I did download them after selecting Windows 7 64-bit for my operating system, so I think it would be compatable.

Anyone have a direct link to the Windows 7 Webcam driver, so I can try again?
