having trouble sharing internet connection between 2 computers

First of all, I'm not that knowledgeable about computers, so bear with me. I have 2 computers (Win XP on both computers), an ADSL modem (provided by our telephone company), and a switch (Linksys 10/100 5-Port Workgroup Switch model EZXS55W), and I want to share my internet connection between the 2 computers. Right now, I have the ADSL modem connected to Comp 1 via USB port, I have comp 1 connected to Port 1 of the switch, and I have Comp 2 connected to Port 3 of the switch. I've run the networking wizard from the windows xp disk on both computers, starting with Comp 1, and, while I can see the shared documents folder on Comp 1 from Comp 2, I can't see the shared documents folder on Comp 2 from Comp 1 and Comp 2 isn't connecting to the internet. I have the TCP/IP properties of the network bridge on Comp 1 set to obtain an IP address automatically; same for the TCP/IP properties of the Local Area Connection on Comp 2. I have the firewall turned off on Comp 2. I'd appreciate any help or advice on how to get this to work.

EDIT: I am able to see the shared documents folder on Comp 2 from Comp 1, but still can't access the internet on Comp 2. Also, I ran windows xp network diagnostic on both computers and got a FAILED message at DSNServerSearchOrder under Network adapters both times. Sorry if this is too much information or not enough information...

Nevermind

I was able to get it to work by changing which computer was the host and which was the client.
