Have you ever had one of your computer parts recalled?

I remember years ago IBM had a disk drive (Deskstar?) that turned out to have many problems and may have been recalled.

I hear frequently about cars being recalled, but none of the same in regards to computer parts (maybe due to government regulations), so I wanted to check up on this.

i know if it's a satety hazard , they have to recall, hp had some laptops that caught fire becuz of batteries overheating. the warning was in update from hp.i don't think it made the media., regards, maybe we need ralph nader back

Not had any actually recalled but I have sent back a fair few faulty parts which I have bought.
