Where can I find an ethernet phoneline thats 20 feet long that I can purchase online and How do I know that I'm buying the right type of line? I did a search and only see phone lines, nothing that says this is ethernet.

Thank you!!

there are a ouple types of ethernet wires, and then there are phone wires. the phone wires go from the wall to your modem, and then the ethernet cable the rest of the way. Which ones do you mean?

Thanks for your reply, It's the Ethernet cord, from modem to computer.
I think I fugured out why I couldn't find anything online because it's seems it's called an ethernet cord, lol, what do I know, But at least I found a 7ft one, but nothing longer yet. Any ideas?
thanks Again

Is a cat 5e patch cable what I'm looking for? it sounds like it, when I read the description?

what's the difference in a cat5e and a cat6 cable?

what's the difference in a cat5e and a cat6 cable? And are they both meant for connecting from a router to your computer?
Tks

The main difference between cat 5 and cat 6 is how far they can go before they need a device to boost the signal. You can just get cat 5 cable.
Yes cat5 cable is ethernet cable.

You dont want to get the cord from the modem to the router to long as it will eventuallt diminish the quality.. What distance are you looking for.. the cables are everywhere...

Thank you all

Thank you all for your help. I've finally found plenty online now that I'm looking for cables and not phone lines. lol
Thanks for confirming that cat 5 is the right cable. You've been a big help.:)
