Hi...I have a question.
I have the EVGA x58 3x Sli mobo with an nvidia geforce 8800 gt gpu. As some of you may know, the gpu is a single slot graphics card with the fan on the bottom, which is a typical design.
Today I bought the Creative Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Soundcard. It takes a PCIe slot, which is directly below the primary PCIe 2.0 slot for the GPU. As a result, the soundcard effectively stacks right below the gpu with no space in between for air flow. Should I be worried that this might ruin my soundcard or my gpu? From the little searching I did on this forum I've read that anything that plugs into a PCIe slot can be plugged into a PCIe 2.0 slot. Is this true? If it is, should I move the soundcard to the second PCIe 2.0 slot?
Thanks for your help in advance
