Google physics?

has anyone noticed the Google logo today is made of coloured balls that seem to get larger and go outwards when you run your mouse over them? What is this supposed to signify, or are google just trying to prove how clever they are?

Ain't it just It seems to be different on other web browsers. Chrome does it as I said in the OP. whereas for example IE has lots of tiny balls, (OK, that sounds dodgy) I haven't tried FF, safari, or opera yet.

pretty sure the very first doodle was of burning man (the creator guys went to it and put up the doodle to let everyone know).
