Google offers 1/GBs internet + TV

It's only gonna be available in kansas city Kansas and kansas city Missouri so you are out of luck there.

And sorry, its gigabit speeds, but that's still 125mb/s. With a tablet as your remote. Hopefully this gets picked up.

I could move. It's not that far for me.... :D Maybe just a super long Ethernet cable across about 160 miles...

That shouldnt be too expensive. What does ethernet cable run these days? $100 for 50 feet? :D

Roughly $1,689,600 before taxes. About $1,841,664 after taxes.

you would need repeaters...Cat5 doesnt work like that. But i loved the commercial, it was extremely cute :)

and have to factor in piping for the cable...and digging...and stuff...all and all...not cheap nope :D cus well your 'blazing fast internet' would get stopped dead by a squirrel :p

would still be $200,000. but yea. I got a bunch from amazon a bit back and it is great cable. Got it run all over the house. 50' to the front room, 25' hooked to the M90 when running Ubuntu (gives me enough to set outside on the central air), and several 3-5' ones running from the modems to the desktop, switch and xbox. All together with shipping I spent less than $25 on it.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000V0ETA6/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00 is the 50' version.

Maximum cable segment length

According to the ANSI/TIA/EIA standard for category 5e copper cable (TIA/EIA 568-5-A[5]), the maximum length for a cable segment is 100 meters (328 feet). If longer runs are required, the use of active hardware such as a repeater, or a switch, is necessary.[6][7] The specifications for 10BASE-T networking specify a 100 metre length between active devices.[8] This allows for 90 metres of fixed cabling, two connectors and two patch leads of 5 metres, one at each end.

living in fantasy land folks! you need repeaters for cat5 :P

He is pricing CABLE. Not all necessary components. Your babbling about theory, okay. But if you look at it its all a big joke. Even with repeaters, they will still not be able to get a speed at that distance that can compete with the 50Mb/s roadrunner for the same price. Its a joke.

I'd like to shout you lucky bastard, if this works, but honestly, at that much speed, you'll be limited by server download. I don't really think that there are files that you can download faster than 100mbps. Besides, who needs files that large. You hard drive won't be able to record anything at that speed either. Sound good, but if there isn't a hardware upgrade, my 100 mbps is doing quite great.
