good websites for PC enthusiasits?

I am looking for a good and reliable PC website that could offer up-to-date news of computer world and technical articles, from hardware comparison, PC build, to software levels. The most important is that there is nothing written from random unimportant someone whose validity and accuracy is not checked. I was once tricked by false information.

I want to learn implementing RAID and/or small home data storage center, where I can tidily add up more hard drives and have a reliable solution to save data in case of hard disks failure.

Maximum PC, Toms Hardware, AnandTech, and PC Magazine are the first that come to mind. If you want to find out more regarding RAID, you should just to some searching online to read article and guides.

Does the 'writer' of the articles in those sites are approved and considered to offer fairly correct information in general? or could random someone post something there and they put it up without much investigation

Just take each publication with a grain of salt. Read all reviews and form your own opinion. Reading user reviews on websites like Newegg.com and Amazon.com is helpful too.

I'd say the information is almost always correct, it's just the articles are written with a clear bias towards some products, so take that with a grain of salt.

Personally I like to spend my time on ComputerForum.com :D

But really, LinusTechTips, TekSyndicate, and some of the benchmark sites (like AnandTech) are where I go to learn the "scoop" on the things.
