are these decent temps?
system:65 F
cpu:82F

Im running socket 939 mobo amd atholn 64 bit 3200.
1-200gig hd
all cables are nicely tucked away.

its in a fairly well ventilated room.

1-expansion slot fan
1-hd fan
1-80mm fan front panel
1-80mm fan in the back

What im looking for is the lowest temp I can get without doing the liquid cooling. Im using photoshop cs2 pretty much all day and dont want it to overheat.

my spell does get bad this late....

I almost forgot to mention that I have a crappy 40 dollar case.
I will have to take some inside and out pics soon. I modded the case just recently in the front.

Is there any larger CPU fans that I can get that would reduce my temp alot.

I never understood why someone would mix water with electronics. never would I do liquid cooling.

Any thoughts?

Liquid cooling is awsome, but yeah, it can be a challenge to get it all right. However, as long as it's distilled water, you SHOULD be ok if some leaks...of course, it shouldn't :P

As for temps, I really don't think you're going to lower it any more with about any cooler.

Are those temps in idle? How are they under full load? (in celcius please, I don't have a good perpective of Ferenhight)

Edit: How do you spell Fehrenight, Ferenhight...?

I have no clue how to check when its under the full load. I just got those numbers in BIOS when I first booted. The reason I asked is because I installed a 80mm fan in the front and I feel the back fan now and it feels alot warmer.

how would I check temp under full load?

Thanks guys

You're so worried about temps and don't know how to check under full load? :P Well, speed fan works well... Grab that, and it's got an option to graph your temps. Have that running while you run something that'll keep your processor at or around 100% You could encode some video, some games might work, etc etc... You could even look for burn-in tests that just stress your PC for no real reason other than to make sure it doesn't break down ;)

the other one:

LOL is all I have to say. and a million thanks to you showing me speedfan.

temp 1 20C
temp2 26C
temp 3 -48C
HD0 22C

Readings are at system IDLE:D

Im a nebie to all of this. Plus im on a ton of medication. But there is check arrows going down. So i suppose its pretty darn cool.

Thanks everyone. Learning more and more each day!;)

(EDIT)
the room that the computer is stored in is fairly well ventalited and cool air is blowing threw. I just am worried about the california heat come this summer!!!...LOL)

yea those temps are great! You shouldnt worry about temps unless there getting in the 40's. Still 40C-50C are alright. Where i live in CA it never gets above 37C and my computer stays in the low 40Cs, so you should be fine.

Great to hear some reassurance!

its idle @ 18C right now!!!

Today I cleaned my fans out and my CPU fan espically got dirty.:(

added some more fans and organized my cables more efficiently, which probably helped. Also my tower is sitting 1 foot away from an open window.

I've really learned alot since I joined this forum. Thanks!:D

okay guys an update here. on my side panel today I mounted a 80mm fan, that dispurses air directly into the CPU fan. After reading all these threads I believe it should be intake on the 80mm fan...Right?

When using speedfan is the second temp your CPU temp? and the first temp my system temp?

Just need a clarification on all of that.

heres a link to a screen shot, if you are confused on what i am asking:

edit wrong link

nobody answered my questions however. what temp marks do those circled stand for. for example is the first one system and the second sensor CPU?

Temp 1 seems like it's your mobo temp.
Temp 2 is your processor.
Temp 3 is a mystery to me.
HD0 is your HDD temp.

thanks man...I just put an 80mm intake on my case thats blowing air into my CPU and now my system is warmer and my CPU is warmer as well. I think I might take it off. Plus its not ball bearing and its alot louder.

I think the temp three could be your NorthBridge ( if its passivly cooled )
It could Also be your Mosfet, but don't worry about it, mines 70c right now!
