Ive been researching this mouse for quite a bit now and I was wondering what you all thought? Its only about $50.00

The Steelseries Sensei features its own 32bit ARM processor (which allows double the sensitivity, to 11,400 DCPI), and can be configured through a built-in LCD menu system on the back with support for up to 16.8 million colors.

The Steelseries Sensei RAW (which is what im looking at) did away with the processor, the LCD screen and the on board memory. Which makes it about 30 bucks cheaper. So, should I go with the Steelseries RAW or the Steelseries Sensei which does have those features?

If anyone knows anything about this mouse, or if you own one yourself, please let me know what you think about it. I will be buying one of the two tomorrow.

I can't vouch for the mouse but I do own a steelseries keyboard, the Apex RAW and it's the best keyboard I've ever owned. The RAW on the end means that I can't have a rainbow of colors on the lights on the keys, and it sounds like you've got a similar case. I mean, is the extra sensitivity and color capabilities REALLY that important to you? If not, I'm sure the RAW version is a great mouse.

I've got the Logitech G9x, which has been discontinued, but it's got the same DPI value as the Sensei Raw (5670 and 5000), and I absolutely love it. I don't know enough about DPI to say that higher is better but I know that 5000 is smooth and I wouldn't ask for anything more. So yes, I do think that the RAW version is a good buy.

I ended up going with the Razer Taipan. I got to looking at the operating systems and noticed that the Sensei was not compatible with windows 8. Aparently the sensei wireless is, but I dont care for wireless mice. So, I got the Razer Taipan instead. It reviewed as an amazing mouse. I also have a steelseries keyboard. It is the Steelseries Shift and I absolutly love it. Best keyboard ever!
