Gigabyte AORUS Z790 ELITE AX not booting when keyboard or mouse connected

I have built a new PC that does not boot at all when the keyboard or mouse are connected, it even won't boot into bios - absolutely no display at all.

I have the following configuration:
MB: Gigabyte AORUS Z790 ELITE AX
CPU: Intel Core i7-14700
RAM: TIMETEC DDR5 unbuffered 2x 32 GB (slot A2 & B2 )
Power supply: MSI MAG A550BN
Logitech K120 keyboard
Monitor: MSI Pro MP2412
HD: WD Blue SA510 (SSD, 1 TB)
No extension card so far
Use Linux Mint 22 only.
BIOS version: FG
BIOS date: 09/12/2023
BIOS ID: 8ARPT050

When the keyboard is connected, the boot process starts and halts suddenly before any signal has been sent to the monitor.
On the MB, there are 4 yellow status LEDs that indicate errors (CPU, DRAM, VGA, BOOT). BOOT remains on.

With the keyboard and mouse disconnected, the system seems to boot normally, however, in this case, I do not see the AORUS welcome screen and
cannot enter BIOS. The first thing the monitor displays is the Linux Mint welcome screen. After booting, I can connect the keyboard and mouse and everything works normally. I can reboot with the mouse and keyboard connected, and this works normally, too. I see the AORUS welcome screen then.

Another way to boot the PC with a keyboard connected is to reset the CMOS values to factory default. On the MB near the F_PANEL, two pins can be short-circuited
with a screwdriver. Having this done, I can boot and enter BIOS. After having switched the power OFF, the problem returns.

What is here the problem? Except having disabled secure boot, I did not change anything actively in BIOS.

Remark:
I have some doubts regarding the power supply. It comes with a 24 pin and only one single 8 pin 12V connector for the MB (there are several PCIe and SATA connectors). The mainboard, however, (among 24 pin) allows to connect 2 equal 8 pin 12V connectors.
