Get a tv RCA input while it's used as a secondairy monitor

Hey all,

I was just wondering (and there is a very good possibility that it isn't possible in any way) if it is possible to let a computer get the RCA connection of a tv while this tv is connected as a secondary monitor.

In my basic knowledge this should be possible, but as I said: there is a very good possibility it isn't!

I'm not exactly sure what you're talking about, are you trying to connect your TV to your computer via RCA cable?

Displays are output devices (as a generalization), phrasing like "get signal from the TV over rca while using it as a monitor" sounds really confusing.

If you wanted to get a stream from a cable box to your PC or something there are plenty of TV tuner cards on the market. Then you could display through the PC to the TV usually using something like HDMI these days.
