gatewaying a laptop for another laptop

hi, i'm new to this forum so i'll start off saying hi and hope everyone here is cool and all ok.

heres my issue i have, i have 2 laptops, one has a linux os on it but for some reason theres some problems with the wifi so i have an idea, i know it can be done as i know some people who know some people who have done it before. but anyhoo how can i set my windows laptop up so that the linux one can use it as a gateway (connected via lan cable) to the internet (and the windows one will be going through wifi). i hope you understand what i mean.

thanks for reading and i hope you may have some idea as to how to set this up as i'm a little confused about it.

This should explain what you need to do on the windows system. I've never done anything like this aside from using a proxy server, so I'm not totally sure how to do it.

Though could your wifi problem in the linux laptop just be driver related?
