Gateway dx4350-ur21p AMD Phenom II X6 1065T Upgrading??

I have Gateway dx4350-ur21p AMD Phenom II X6 1065T I want to upgrade the cpu and ram so what is the fastest cpu I can upgrade to and what it the most ram I can add??

8gb of ram is highest you can go. As far as cpu goes, you already have a 6 core cpu. Not getting much online about cpu support for it.

Why do you feel its slow? What operating system are you running? How much ram do you have?

Windows 7 6gb ram could I upgrade to a X6 1100T if so would it make my computer faster??

I don't know. All depends if the motherboard supports 125 watt cpu's. As I said, I can't find anything on cpu support for that system.

Cant find anything either on CPU support. I would email them and see what they say. The thing is the 1065T is a 95W processor. The 1100T is 125W processor. A lot of OEM boards don't support 125W

That don't matter. The OEM sets what the board supports not the chipset.

Could I upgrade to this it is the fastest 6 core and it is 95w just like the 1065T. I were to get this cpu would it be much of upgrade from the 1065T?

Nope, wrong socket. You have an am3 board and that is an am3+ cpu.

Again, that one is a 125 watt cpu, we don't know if your board supports them. What issues are you having that makes you think it's slow?

The board is a APMBB-RF Rev: 1.02. Don't know who makes it. Looks like a Foxconn or Asus. But its a pretty lowend board. Just has a 3+1 power phase. Plus has older style chokes and mosfets and caps. I myself would not run a 1100T on it.
