Gaming Speakers?

What would people recommend are the best gaming speakers? I watch movies sometimes but play games most of the time.

That all depends on your budget. You can get a decent set of 5.1 speakers that range anywhere from $200 to $1000.

I'm somewhere in the $100.

If you want great speakers for gaming and movie then you're going to need 5.1. If your budget is only 100 bucks, you're not going to get the very best gaming speakers are you? No. You're going to have to do better than 100 bucks for something top notch, at least 400 dollars.

But if 100 something is your absolute limit, then you can always get something decent like the Logitech X-620.

What sound card do you have? No point in getting good speakers if your sound card is too old to bang out the sound.

No matter what if you are gaming you will want at least 5.1 sound. In first person shooters the surround sound really makes a difference.

I have the Z-5300, i have to say there the best speakers i've ever heard, i bought them for $200, the surround sound is nice, and especially since i got the audigy 2zs, i can really hear voices and the direction there coming from. also great for movies, and the subwoofer is the best i've ever heard.
