Gaaa I Hate My Network

Ok well as you can tell, i'm rather frustrated right now.

For a long time, I've been having problems with my network, and keep asking you guys, and I get no answers. So here's what happens.

WRT54G--router
D-Link Airplus G--adapter. (I had a linksys, but I despised the software, so I went back to this Dlink)

I have always had problems with connectivity to my network, with both the D-Link and the Linksys adapters. Many times it will not connect at all, and I will have to go down and reset the router.

I also have constant problems with dropping the internet. It will just stop, without any warning, while still connected to the network. It's insanely annoying.

But through all of this, I was always able to print and access other computers on the network just fine. Until today. Now I can't do that either, or it works sporadically, so I need help.

1. All of the wired computers work just fine, all the time, for everything. I'm the only wireless.
2. I've tried all the interference crap. I'm only 15 feet above the router, switching channels does nothing...
3. I've tried different wireless adapters

What can I do?

Try new firmware, Try using the windows software, and disabling the NIC software for connectivity.

I have a WRT54GL running this:

www.dd-wrt.com

I have my singal boosted and static DHCP running on my systems with QoS as well, and am very pleased with it.

Do you live in a house or an apartment? A lot of times your neighbors wireless can kill your signal, also things like refridgerators and mircrowaves can really mess up singals. Microwaves actually spew small amounts of radiation in the air that can mess up signals. Anything with a magnetic field to it as well (like a fridge) can cause problems.

OK well I updated firmware, and it works a lot better, but still has a tendency to drop the internet once in a while. (not the connection, just the internet)

My signal is just fine, I have 85% strength and 100% quality.

you can have 100% signal rate and still get no connection with interference
