fsb speed functionality and gaming?

how much does the fsb of a system contrubute to its gaming, becauseI'm trying to buy a gaming machine and want to spend the lweast amount of money, I'm considering buying a Pentium D or maybe even a Celeron D instead of a Core 2 Duo, and I will use my other parts for good gaming (fast memory - ddr2 800, and a decent graphics card - BFG 7600 GT OverClocked
 
never "throw away" one component so you can get the best or near best in the other components go for core 2 e6300 even
