First of all: This is NOT A Pentium D. It is a Pentium Dual Core. They are different. Google is your friend.

Hey guys, I've recieved an offer on another forum (A Q8200 fo $100 USD :D) So i'm selling my trusty Pentium E6300 to pay for it. It's just the chip, no cooler. It's a good overclocker, as you can see here i got 4ghz on it:

It was not Prime95 stable at that voltage though. It needs about 1.45v or 1.5v for that clockspeed (i have not tried due to heat) I don't know the VID yet, when i get home i will check it out. It's pretty much the same as any other wolfdale chip, but with less cache and fsb i believe. it's an R0 stepping, for what it's worth.

It maxed out at 64c at 3.8ghz with 1.425v (it droops to 1.38v on my board) for me, this on air and idling at 37c. When i lived in a cooler climate it would idle at 22c with this voltage, on the same cooler, and maxed out at 55c. it obviously benefits from cooler temperatures.

I think it would be a good chip to watercool, but that's too expensive for me. Anyway I'm asking $90 AUD shipped for it. this is about $30 less than retail here, it may be different in other countries. But remember, no cooler included, just the chip.

The chip is a bottleneck in my system, judging by 3dmark06:

I don't know what the highest clock is for this chip, but it's currently running 1450 FSB (default is 1066) in unlinked mode for overclocking.

The VID (voltage) appears to be 1.280v on default:

Yup. willingto go a bit cheaper, but not a lot. the chip is only a few months old... if you do buy it gappo, let me know how it goes under phase :) if that's your plan.

EDIT: according to XE currency converter: $95 AUD = $87.2670 USD

haha, now i see you're in the UK, so $95 AUD = 57.4163 Pounds (my keyboard doesn't have the symbol :P)

Oh my bad man, completely forgot I bought one of these on ebay yesterday lol. Got the core 2 one tho :/

Update: I'm home now and the VID appears to be 1.268v - 1.280v which seems to be the official intel spec.

Anyone interested or know anyone that is interested? send them to the ebay link. :)

Tbh I can't see anyone paying that much for a used, OC'd, Pentium D with no fan when the same CPU is only $79 out of the box brand new with a cooler.

Weren't you the one that started the "please be nice to other peoples FS threads" ?

And remember this is in Australian Dollars. And i am including shipping in the price...

Not down there it isn't. :( Aussies get screwed on the prices of basically anything that's imported. I've known a few online that will actually buy stuff in the 'States and have it shipped there because the prices are so bad.

And actually, people might pay a bit more for that one because it's proven to overclock well.

You think this is a Pentium D? It's not a dual core pentium 4. Look at the CPU-Z please.

This is a Pentium Dual Core. they are completely different. This CPU is two wolfdale cores. wolfdale, as in, the E8xxx series. ;)

Sorry to be mean but you got it all wrong :P

Anyway, i got myself a new personal record:

Just a suicide run but :D:D:D

well hopefully it will sell on ebay, from what i've looked at mine is the cheapest listed on ebay...

thanks for the bump.
