I dont know 100%, but it doesnt say it does on Asus's website.

Just because it's the correct socket doesn't mean that it will support Core 2 Duos. That board uses an nForce4 SLI Intel Edition chipset, which I don't believe will work with a Core 2 Duo.

Everywhere I've looked it says it is compatible with 800 and 1066. The Deluxe version is on newegg.com and supports Core 2 Duo. I guess I might as well give ASUS a line and see what they say.

lga775 socket does support core 2 duo. Where do you get all this stuff omega?

Exactly. And alot of 955x and lower dont support Core 2 Duo's either. This motherboard was made before the C2D was released, so it may just be that they never updated it for Core 2 Duo support, but I wouldnt count on it.

I have two people who PMed me, and im going to talk to them, but the sale is over now :)

Yep, it doesn't support it. My question is why they had 1066 compatible, then? Anyway, you can take me off of the list.

Those two people didnt include you :P

But I believe the 1066Mhz was because it supported the Pentium Extreme Editions.

I would really not mind being able to tinker with settings on my motherboard more than I do now, but when I upgrade I wouldn't mind having Core 2 Duo capabilities. If the other people don't want it, ask me again. Otherwise, just let them buy it. While the motherboard would be nice, I don't have any need for the other items right now--not saying I wouldn't mind having them around.

I am in contact with the other buyer and it looks like hes going to go through with it, but if he doesnt, i'll let you know.

After this im not going to try and sell them anymore since no one really seems interested, so i'll just leave them in my closet.
