FS: Fuji Finepix A101 digicam

Fixed focus? dose that mean it NEVER changes? and im not sure what macro and and fixed range mean, bascily i wanta camera that you can focus manaualy, I want to get up close shots of fish.

and automatic focus never works because it focus on the glass and not the fish.

and if it dose(Im confussed right now, because i dont know to much about camera's) how close it can get, my current camera the cloest is .16 of a meter. i'd like to find a camera that goes closer if possible.

Basically, yes, the focus never changes. It's got a set ranges that works great. The macro mode is actually a close up mode. Once again, I don't know the exact range this camera has, but it's made to get up close. Maybe tommarow I can test the macro out for you.

Hehe, if auto focus never works this might be nice because it doesn't focus on anything in particular  It's real use is a point and shoot. One you have in your pocket or something then whip out real quick to get the pefect shot

As I said above, I dont know the macro focal range. You could try and read up on the camera. Fuji might have a manual or that site I linked you too might mention something... But, I will say it own't be like 1 cm or anything. Not even my newest camera is wonderful. Such cameras have their limits. If you REALLY want to get close, you need one of these $1000+ SLR cameras

I;ll look at the links, all i want would prabally be aounr .12 of a meter and that would be good enough. I own lots of fish(mainly predators, forget those fancy guppys or goldfish) and like to take shots of them, but my camera cant get close enough for anyfish that isn't 5+inches.

I'd actully like my OWN camera anyways, the one i have, I just ussaly have even htough its not mine haha. So I might get it anyways just to have my own.

hehe clasic digi-cam :) not as clasic as one that uses floppies tho.. i need to get one of those. they r cool. i just got a new camara tho so i dont really need that one..

Ah yes... My mom uses one of those, or used one, at school(she's a teacher) They had some fairly decent ones that used floppies, I think up to the 2MP range with a 4x floppy drive ;) A little pointless, though, once you got higher resolutions considering how few pics you could actually load on the disk!

I actually gave someone my old 640x480 camera a while back. It was a beast that sucked though 4AA batteries in no time and the pics weren't all that wonderful...

hehe i had a vga one thats 640x480 isnt it? no flash no lcd screen no digital or optical zoom... yeah that was a gooooood camara! ;) yay hp r707 :):):) I enjoy the built in rechargable nickle metal hydrite batery so awsome.. and i have a 2 year warenty for $30 haha its awsome in 2 years ill find some little that is wrong with it and take it back and get a new camara hehehe pure evil!

LOL, sounds like a cheap one ;P Mine was actually kinda expensive for it's time. It had an LCD, 3 point manual focus, but nothing else. IT was very bulky, very sluggish, but it worked pretty well. Eh, a Poloroid PSC640 or something like that...

-edit-
Oh yeah, it's a beast! :D

It did have both a color LCD screen and a top LCD with some quick data on it...
