I have for sale an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz processor for sale. I sold this on eBay back in August and the seller returned it, so it's been sitting in an anti-static bag since then. I put it in my server to test it and it booted up fine, so there is NOTHING wrong with this CPU, it works great! This is for the CPU only, the HSF and packaging is not included.

Here is a link to it on Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115037

I'm asking $125 shipped anywhere within the USA.

The buyer claimed he installed it and it didn't work, but I think he just didn't want it or possibly that his motherboard didn't support that CPU. It worked in my gaming system before I shipped it out, and just this morning I installed it in my server and it runs just fine.

I have this CPU, and I was wondering, the way the chip is designed, it does not have any pins on the chip itself, they are located on the Motherboard. If I am not mistaken, this is fairly new. Do all LGA 775 support this chip, or do they also have to support 45nm?

LGA775 has never had pins on the CPU. You need a chipset that supports this generation of Core 2's, however I'm not sure what they are. If I had to make an educated guess, it would be any chipset newer then the 945 series or 650i series.
