At the moment you can get a 3870 off of Newegg for $110 after MIR. I'd buy one but don't want to deal with returning my 8800GT

That's a different model, but I'll take that into consideration.

The 3870 is 9" long (9.5" from the end of the DVI port to the end of the card).
