If anyone's in NC and whats an old server (Dell Power Edge I believe. PIII 933MHz, 512MB RAM, 40GB SCSI RAID) Or a couple of still pretty nice 17" CRTs, let me know. The server weighs around 70lbs so it's certainly not something to be shipped. I can get photos and confirm everything still works if anyone's curious. However, I'm mostly just wanting to clear out some space.

(I might end up keeping one monitor around just for a spare since my dad might take my old LCD)

Hehe... Yeah, it's a beast. If I could easily stick another HD in it I'd probably use it as a file server, but I don't think there are any IDE connections if I remember correctly. But it's got three hot-swapable 300 watt power supplies and the ability to have six hot swappable SCSI drives!

Damn, I wish this was posted a year ago when I lived in North Carolina =( Just looking for a server myself!

SCSI is to IDE as SAS is to SATA. SCSI was a bit older standard that is still perfectly fine for todays usage, it has been pretty much replaced by SAS however.

I've been looking for something like this..id pay for shipping to bridgeport, connecticut and maybe throw you a few bucks for taking the time to ship it =P

Connecticut's Armpit :P haha

Been to Bridgeport once and it was SCARY!

Are you sure...? I mean if you really want I don't mind shipping it, but the thing seriously weighs 70+ pounds. It'd practically need a pallet to ship.
