Its a 6inch~ from my old Panasonic surround sound and at 4 ohms its 220 watts max. My system right now I think is 85 watts on the subwoofer channel so it will barely make it move. Plus I think its 6 ohms. What could I do with this sub? It goes to about 30hz when properly powered. Im getting really interested in playing with stereos and big subs and speakers and stuff like that.

85W peak or 85W RMS? 220W "MAX" is nothing. Most likely (if it IS a decent name-brand sub) it'll be in the 25-100RMS range. It should move the sub nicely :)

85 watts should power it nicely if that is the output, are both wattages measured in the same units. There is RMS and Music Power, RMS is the standard but lots of manufacturers advertise their ratings in Music Power as it makes there systems sound more powerful, generally Music Power is around half of RMS (or a tad more than half I think). Anyway it's substantially less!

If they are both in RMS or both in Music Power it should be fine, my speakers can handle up to 130 watts RMS however my amp is rated at 35 and it drives them nicely and can give out nice volumes. :)
