As the title says......

Just a quick question, I was wondering if the support cd (The one that comes with the motherboard) has the latest drivers or just the base drivers.
 
By the time you receive your motherboard the CD normally has outdated drivers. It's always best to go to the manufacturers support website and download the latest drivers.
 
Yeah when they produce the CD it has the latest drivers at the time of producing the CD, but drivers get replaced so quickly that they are usually outdated by the time you get the CD.
 
It has the latest drivers at the time the board is manufactured. By the time you get it, there will have been updates.

Windows update is late on giving you driver updates. The best place to get latest drivers is the manufacturer website. If you use windows update then that driver is usually a few versions old already.
 
Its always better to go to the site and download the latest drivers. The CD or Windows usually has older drivers. Twiki, I never use Windows drivers.
