firefox history

Hi OK so I have a question, How come even when I clear my history in firefox, if i try to type something in the address bar like www.fa then facebook starts to pop up,(in the address bar) and so do other sites that ive gone to (some that dont even start with an F, like weather.com, and espn.com? I thought that if I've cleared my history then these would go away. Also i've ran CCleaner, but I still have this problem. any ideas?

Clearing the history etc, won't clear out bookmarks, is facebook and weather.com one of them?

Yes, weather.com and facebook.com are in my favorites. ahhh yup now I see! all the links that pop up have the little star on the right side (indicating that their bookmarks) So if I don't want to see all that I should just delete some of my favorites then, correct?
