I'm wondering if I should get a macro filter for my DSLR? Like this: http://www.wolfcamera.com/product/241668375.htm

What do you think?

Also, a few years ago, I bought my first SLR camera, the Minolta Maxxum 70, and I bought two lenses with it, one of them being a 300MM, I was wondering if they have an adapter that could mount the lens on my Olympus E-410.

SLR:

DSLR:

Thanks.

Macro filters work but you might get some distortion and some other problems due to the cheap glass they are using to bend the light.

another way to gain the macro effect that you are looking for would be to buy some Extension tubes that make the middle of the lens further away from the film plain (sensor/film), the adapter (extension tubes) are fitted between the lens and the camera, this also gives you the option of how close you want to get because you can pick how many tubes you use.

about then lens adapter you can get them for most brands but i don't know how easy it will be to find a Minolta to Oylmpus as they are both lesser brands. not to say that they are worse cameras there just less mainstream than Canon, Nikon or Pentax.

4NGU$ here :P

if my thinking is correct Konica Minolta is now the lens fit that Sony alpha Dlsr's use so that may also help you find the right adapter. instead of looking for Minolta to Olympus
you could maybe look for Sony to Olympus

I cant say whether or not that adapter would work on your Olympus as i don't know if its '4/3 system mount' the same as the guys E-1 on ebay but that is defiantly the type of adapter your looking for, you could ask him see if he knows ?

Here is another way you could get macro on your Minolta

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/82179-REG/General_Brand_AV49MD_Reverse_Adapter_Minolta_to.html

what this does is mount your lens on the camera backwards to magnify the subject

you might also be able to get one for your Olympus

thers quite a few on this page

happy browsing :)
