External Sound Card

I'm in the market for a sound card, I guess it needs to be external, with my SLI setup and after market coolers, lol. I would like to connect my future set of home theater speakers, if possible. I can post the specs of them, so we can determine what ports it has, if needed.

Budget, I don't know, throw some stuff at me.

How does this look?

Thanks.

I have 4 of these cards. I was never a fan of USB but I read some awesome reviews and decided to bite the bullet. Before I got these, there was a buzz/hum coming from somewhere and I had to replace all cards/cables and everything. The buzz went away for a few weeks and then came back. So I got these cards and everything has been fine since. Thank gosh it wasn't my board which I thought it was after the buzz came back. My entire studio runs from these and I love them I would buy 10 more if I needed.

Did you link to an item?

If it's a slot card, I probably won't be able to plug it in.

You can kind of see how cramped I am.

The coolers have 2 fans clipped onto them.

The item I was referring to is the one you linked to. The Creative Sound Blaster one.

Yeah I can see that its pretty cramped in there tho. I like your case, its very nice and neat on the inside.

Oh awesome, what do I need to know to see if it will connect my home theater speakers to my computer.

And thanks, I recently upgraded to a non-modular PSU, and need to do some management again.

Connecting to a home audio system is merely a function of cable and input on your receiver or preamp. I use an external one but it probably cost as much as your water cooler.

In your shoes, I would simply use the audio built into your mainboard.
