Iv had an external hard drive for about 1 year now, its always been working fine until 4 days ago when i accidently plugged in my laptop charger into the power supply. Since then it wont connect to the computer and every time i conect power to it it starts to blink. Did i kill it when i plugged it in? If i did is there any way of fixing it?

I would say yes, you've fried something

One time I made a mistake like you and plugged my laptop power cord into my USB hub, my hub and attached USB WiFi card both died, including a wonderful burning smell

Your best bet would be to dismantle your external casing and remove the drive inside and test it inside your computer, and hope the PCB fried instead of the drive itself
