Ethernet question

I currently have only 1 ethernet card in my computer. I cuarrently have my cable modem hooked up to this card. I want to buy a media center extender and hook it up to my computer via a cat5 cable. Is there some sort of device I can buy to allow me to hook up both the modem and extender to the same ethernet card in my computer? (hub?/switch?) Any other suggestions?

Hmm, I know that you can get Ethernet hubs, but I think that would only be for networking. I may be wrong, though...

You may have to buy another Ethernet card... Wait for some others to reply, they probably no more than me in this section of the forum.
