Ethernet Card Burnt Out?

I've had some power outtages and since then, my computer has been acting strange and I mean configurations got messed up off the hook.

Already fixed most issues, but still can't repair my Ethernet problem.

For some reason, I am only sending bytes but not receiving any, therefore not being able to get an IP address resulting in a limited but no connection issue.

I've uninstalled, disabled and reconfigured everything. Could the power outagges have been the issue? The power went on and off three times in less than 5 minutes.

Right now, I'm using my modem's USB connection but it's only 10MB and I need the 100MB for large file transfer between networked devices.

Can anyone please suggest anything?

Make sure your router's working. My last router was knocked out by a power surge, i switch it off whenever we get a power cut :D

I have a Modem Wireless Router all-in-one.
My PS2 works online no problem and so does my USB modem connection. I'm gona check my laptop tonight or on the weekend.
