so everytime my boss opens an e-mail and clicks on a URL link in the e-mail, it opens up a my documents folder or something then waits about 20 seconds then opens up the url in firefox.

Why does it do this?

Ive got pics im posting now too

this is the e-mail, the link at the bottom of the page is what we clicked on (this happens to almost every e-mail we open)

this is the documents link it opens up after you click on the URL

Do you have your XP install cd handy? You can click on start, run, type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes and hit enter and it will check your system for missing or corrupted system files and hopefully stop it. It seems the html links is screwed up in outlook.

Do they still have the office install cd? Try doing a repair install by installing over the old. What do they use for the internet broswer? IE or firefox? You can try going into IE and into tools, internet options, advanced tab and click on reset, which resets all of IE back to defaults.

ill try the IE thing. We use both IE and Firefox

and no we didnt get a boot cd or install disk, company never gave us one

Try reinstalling firefox then. Uninstall it first, reboot the pc and then reinstall it.

ok so i uninstalled and reinstalled firefox. Its still popping up the my documents page. But, it was also always bringing up and error message when ever we opened up a icon of the desktop for firefox saying the site could not be found, but it would still open up, well thats fixed, but its still popping up the my documents tab up when we open a link up from the e-mail
